oatmeal carmelitas Regi Dean's Recipes 1/12/00 Cookies Donna Martin {*****} flour 1 cup rolled oats 1 cup brown sugar packed 3/4 cup soda 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp butter melted 3/4 cup chocolate chips 1 cup nuts choped fine 1/2 cup carmel sundae topping 3/4 cup flour 3 tbsp {**********} oven 350 11 x 7 or 9 x 9 pan first size makes thinner bars in large bowl combine first 6 ingredients blend well to form crumbs sprinkle half into pan press down bake 10 minutes remove from oven and sprinkle chips and nuts over hot base mix flour and carmel topping together well drizzle over chip aand nuts sprinkle remaining crumbs over top pat very lightly bake 15 - 20 minutes cool 1 to 2 hours till cold cut into bars
