Minnesota Cabbage Rolls Regi Dean's Recipes 1/12/00 Main Dish Dorothy Sinkey {*****} brown sugar 1/4 cup cabbage leaves 12 large cooked rice 3/4 cup ground beef 1 lb ground pork 1/4 lb Hunts tomato sauce 2 8 oz can lemon juice or vinegar 1/4 cup onion 1 small pepper 1/2 tsp salt 2 tsp {**********} Combine meat, salt, pepper, rice, onion and 1 can tomato sauce. Cover cabbage leaves with boiling water for 4 minutes, then drain. Place portions of meat mixture in center of each cabbage leaf. Roll up, folding ends over. Place seam side down in skillet. Mix remaining sauce with brown sugar and lemon juice. Pour over rolls. Simmer, covered, for 1 to 1 1/2 hours; Baste often. Makes 6 servings.
