lentils with garlic and tomato Regi Dean's Recipes 1/12/00 Main Dish Donna Martin {*****} green lentils 1 cup water 2cups vegetable oil 4 tbsp tomatoes chopped 1 - 14 oz. salt 1 tsp lemon juice 1 tbsp garlic chopped 8 cloves {**********} cook lentils in 2 cups of water till tender 30 minutes do not drain in skillet add garlic and oil over med heat until garlic starts to brown add tomatoes and lentils with juice simmer until gets thicker 30 minutes or so add salt and lemon juice stir well serve with rice or fine noodles
