Justin Wilson's Hush Puppies Regi Dean's Recipes 08/25/99 Cajun Jim Weller {*****} Bacon drippings, hot 2 tb Baking powder 1 ts Buttermilk 1 c Cornmeal 2 c Deep fat for frying Eggs, beaten 2 Garlic powder (to taste) 1/2 ts Green onion, finely chopped 1 c Ground cayenne pepper Parsley, finely chopped 1/2 c Plain flour 1 c Salt 1 ts Soda 1/2 ts {**********} 48 servings Combine all dry ingredients. Add eggs, buttermilk, onions, and oil or bacon drippings. Mix well. Drop in deep hot fat by spoonfuls and brown on all sides.
