HERSHEY'S CHOCOLATE CAKE Regi Dean's Recipes 08/22/99 Cakes Nita {*****} All Purpose Flour, unsifted 1 3/4 cups Baking Powder 3/4 tsp. Baking Soda 3/4 tsp. Butter 1/4 cup Eggs 2 Hershey's Cocoa 12 TBS. Milk 1 3/4 cups Salt 1/8 tsp. Shortening 4 TBSP. Sugar 2 cups Vanilla 1 tsp. {**********} Generously grease and flour two 9" or three 8" cake pans. Cream butter, shortening, sugar and vanilla until fluffy. Blend in eggs. Combine cocoa, flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in bowl. Add alternately with milk to batter. Blend well. Pour into prepared pans. Bake at 350* for 30 to 35 minutes for 9" pans and 35 to 40 miutes. for 8" pans or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pans.
