FIG PRESERVE CAKE Regi Dean's Recipes 08/21/99 Deserts Shirley Williams {*****} flour 2 cups cloves 1/2 tbsp. 1 tbsp. nutmeg sugar 1-1/2 cups eggs 3 buttermilk 1 cup pecans.chopped(optional) 1/2 cup salt 1 tbsp. baking soda 1 tbsp. cinnamon 1 tbsp. oil or margarine 1 cup vanilla 1 tbsp. fig preserves, chopped 1 cup {**********} Sift together the dry ingredients, add oil or margarine and mix well. Add eggs, mix well. Add buttermilk, mix well. Add figs and pecans. Bake 40-45 minutes at 325 degree preheated oven in a greased 9 X 13 X 2 inch cake pan.
