Chocolate chunk cookies

butter 	1/2 cup
shortening	1/4 cup
brown sugar	1 cup
egg 	1
grated orange rind	2 tsp
orange juice	2 tsp
vanilla	1 1/2 tsp
flour	1 1/2 cup
soda	1 tsp
salt and nutmeg	1/4 tsp ea
chocolate chunks	1 1/2 cups
macadamia nuts quartered	1/2 cup
brazil nuts or almonds can be

oven 350   greased cookie sheets

in large bowl beat butter, shortening, sugar till creamy   beat in egg    blend in juice, rind, vanilla

combine dry ingredients make 3 additions to butter mix   stir in chocolate and nuts

drop by rounded teaspoonfuls spaced 2 1/2 inches apart   refridgerate 10 minutes

with knife flatten and round edges   bake in center of oven 8 - 10 minutes until edges are wrinkled and 
golden    cool on sheet for 5 - 7 minutes remove to rack to cool  makes 38 cookies   

to freeze shape dough as above on wax paper lined sheet and freeze     put on greased sheets  let stand 5 
minutes   bake as above
