Brownies ( Apricot Angel ) Regi Dean's Recipes 08/25/99 Brownies Dottie Theriault {*****} All-purpose flour 3/4 c Baking powder 1/2 ts Butter or margarine 1/3 c Eggs, beaten 2 Finely chopped dried apricots 1 c Flaked coconut 1/4 c Packed brown sugar 1/2 c Salt 1/4 ts Sliced almonds 1/4 c Vanilla extract 1/4 ts white baking chocolate 2 Bars (2 {**********} 16 servings In a saucepan, melt chocolate and butter over low heat, stirring constantly until all the chocolate is melted. Remove from heat stir in brown sugar, eggs and vanilla until blended. Set aside. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Stir in chocolate mixture. Combine apricots, almonds and coconut; stir half into the batter. Pour into a greased 9-in square baking pan. Sprinkle remaining apricot mixture on top.
