Bayou Shrimp Creole Regi Dean's Recipes 08/25/99 Cajun Telephone Pioneers {*****} Chili sauce 1 c Chopped parsley 1/2 c Curry powder 1 ts Frozen sliced okra 2 pk Green peppers, sliced 3 lg Lge. bay leaf 3 Onions, sliced 5 c red and black pepper to taste Salad oil 1 c Salt to taste Shrimp, cleaned & deveined 5 lb Stalk celery leaves, chopped 1 Stalk celery, diced 1 Thyme 1 ts Tomatoes (#303) 2 cn {**********} 16 Servings Heat oil in lge. frying pan. Add green peppers, celery, celery leaves and onions. Cook over low heat, stirring until vegetables are eslightly softened. Add remaining ingredients except shrimp. Cover and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Refrigerate for 24 hours. Add shrimp 1 hour before serving; heat thoroughly. Serve over hot cooked rice. Courtesy Telephone Pioneers
